Travel Companion: Take the Lineup on theRoad
Travelling is better with someone who makes the journey part of the fun. A train ride becomes a conversation, a new city becomes a shared discovery, and dinner in an unfamiliar town stops being a table for one. The travel companion format takes a companion from the lineup with you beyond Amsterdam.
It ranges from a single day out to a longer trip, always arranged individually and on request. Because no two trips are alike, the plan, the timing and the price are agreed in detail on WhatsApp before you set off.

Formats that work on the road
Travel bookings tend to take one of three shapes. The day trip is the lightest: a morning train to Den Haag for the museums and the seafront at Scheveningen, or to Utrecht for the wharf cellars along the Oudegracht, back in Amsterdam by nightfall. The city break adds a night or two away, with time to explore properly, and a weekend in the countryside or on the coast is arranged just as individually.
Business travel is its own category. She accompanies you on a work trip and turns the evenings between meetings into something to look forward to. Tell us which shape you have in mind and we will plan around it.

Planning the trip
Give us as much notice as you can, because travel days take a full slice of her diary. In your first message, share the destination, the dates, how you intend to travel and where you plan to stay. Mention the overall rhythm too: whether you want company the whole time or mainly in the evenings, and whether she should meet you at a station or travel out with you from Amsterdam. Transport and accommodation are discussed as part of the plan, and the whole arrangement is confirmed in the chat before anything is booked. For trips of several days, share a rough itinerary, even a simple list of cities and evenings, so her schedule can be checked for the entire window at once.

A good travel companion is adaptable, curious and easy to spend long hours with. Laura is adventurous and energetic, a horse rider and skier who loves nothing more than a trip somewhere new. Nancy is sunny and easygoing, and road trips rank among her favourite things. Samanta is composed and elegant, learns languages for fun and has a real eye for design hotels. Picture a late morning train out of Amsterdam Centraal, coffee and conversation while the flat green polders roll past the window. Lunch near the Hofvijver, an hour among the old masters at the Mauritshuis, then a walk along the boulevard at Scheveningen with the wind coming in off the North Sea. Dinner facing the water before the return train, and back at your Amsterdam hotel by late evening. Or swap the coast for Rotterdam, with its bold skyline, the Markthal and a drink overlooking the Erasmus Bridge. The day is yours to design.

Good form on the road
Travelling together means many more shared hours than a single evening, so a little consideration goes a long way. Build some downtime into the schedule, since nobody enjoys a trip without breathing space. Agree in advance how she will be introduced if you meet colleagues or friends. Stay flexible when trains are delayed or the weather turns. And if the trip includes formal occasions, mention the dress codes early so she packs accordingly.

Starting and finishing in Amsterdam
Many trips begin or end in the city. If you are flying in, she can meet you at your hotel on arrival day, or the two of you can set out together from a station such as Amsterdam Centraal or Zuid. Trips further afield can be discussed on request. Whether it works depends on her schedule and the details of the journey, so share your plans on WhatsApp and you will get a straight answer.
Q.02How is a travel booking priced?
Travel bookings are priced on request, based on the length and shape of the trip. Hourly companionship begins from €180 per hour; the complete arrangement is set out on WhatsApp.
Q.03How much notice does a trip need?
Day trips benefit from a few days' notice, longer trips from more. The earlier you share your dates, the wider the choice of companions.
Q.04Can she join me for only part of a trip?
Yes. Some clients want company for one or two evenings of a longer journey. Tell us which days and times, and we will plan around them.
Q.05Can we travel by car rather than by train?
Yes. Mention how you intend to travel in your first message, and the timing of the day is planned around the route you choose.
