Escort Zuidas: After the Final Meeting,First Pick
Zuidas is Amsterdam's executive stadium. Glass and steel towers rise around Amsterdam Zuid station, filled by day with banks, law firms and international head offices, and by night with the travellers who flew in to meet them. It is sleek, efficient and a world away from the gables of the canal belt.
No companion is based in Zuidas itself, so every name on the lineup can take the booking. Oud-Zuid, a home district, sits right on its northern edge, which means arrivals are rarely a long wait.

Sec. 02
The district and its landmarks
The centrepiece is the Gustav Mahlerplein, a square framed by office towers right beside Zuid station, with the Gustav Mahlerlaan and the Parnassusweg leading off through the business blocks. To the east lies the Beatrixpark, a peaceful stretch of lawns and water, and beyond it the RAI convention centre, which fills with trade fairs and congresses for much of the year. The VU university campus and its medical centre anchor the western end of the district, while the Olympic Stadium stands a short ride north at the far end of the Stadionweg. Public art is part of the skyline too, set out between the towers.
Sec. 03
Hotels in the business district
Hotels in Zuidas are built for people on a schedule. Most stand within a few minutes' walk of Zuid station along the main business avenues, with more around the RAI and a smaller group near the VU campus. Expect tall contemporary buildings, executive floors, late bars and front desks used to guests arriving at any hour. Serviced apartments for longer assignments are common as well. In a setting like that, a companion in understated business-evening style simply looks like another visitor with an appointment.
Sec. 04
Arrival times
Zuidas plays like a home game with a short commute. Companions come down from Oud-Zuid, De Pijp and the centre, usually by taxi or by metro to Zuid station, so an hour's notice normally covers a hotel near the Mahlerplein. The RAI is close too, but during a big congress the surrounding roads slow noticeably from late afternoon, and a little extra lead time helps. The A10 ring road runs straight through the district, which keeps late-night journeys quick once the traffic clears.
Sec. 05
What an evening here looks like
After a full day of meetings, Zuidas evenings tend to go one of two ways. Some clients want to step out: dinner near the Mahlerplein, or a short walk into Oud-Zuid for a wine bar on the Beethovenstraat. Others prefer to stay put with room service and conversation that has nothing to do with quarterly numbers. Samanta, composed and magnetic with a love of design hotels and learning languages, fits either plan effortlessly. Milena is direct and glamorous, a tennis fan who takes her espresso strong and her conversation sharp. For a calmer tempo, Margo brings refined, quietly mysterious poise and a love of contemporary art.
Sec. 06
Playing around the congress calendar
The RAI sets the rhythm of the whole district. When a major congress is in town, rooms sell out and evenings get busy for everyone, companions included. If you know your dates, message ahead with your hotel and the evenings you have open, and we can plan a first pick plus a reserve. Staying a full week? Plenty of business travellers set up a recurring evening slot, each one confirmed separately in the chat.

Neighbouring areas
Oud-Zuid and the museum quarter start just north of the ring, and De Pijp is a few stops up the metro line. With direct trains from Zuid station to the airport, many clients also look at Schiphol for a departure-day booking. Browse the lineup or see how booking works.
